Finding Motivation

May 22nd, 2009

I’ve had a project on the back burner for a while and haven’t done much with it.  Kind of sad.  Today I decided to start working on it again.

I’m not going to go into the details of the project at this point, so feel free to quit reading now if that bums you out.  I will say that it involves a lot of portraits—and this was the part I kept getting hung up on.  Until recently, I hadn’t really been able to visualize what I wanted these portraits to look like.  I think this was a big reason I kept putting the project off.  Well, it just so happens that I recently shot some portraits, and as soon as I saw one of them in particular, I realized it was exactly how I want the portraits for this other project.  Here’s the photo:

So what’s the point of all this?  Well for one, to share this photo that I’m stoked on, and also, to invite people over for a portrait party at a yet-to-be-determined date.  I’ll provide beers and food and shoot a ton of portraits of anyone interested in participating.  The catch: skiing or snowboarding must be a big part of your life to be involved with this project.  I’ve probably said too much.  Let me know if you’re interested.
